Quick Capture Privacy

This page is the privacy statement for the FixGrid Quick Capture Chrome extension. It is separate from the FixGrid platform Privacy Policy, which covers www.fixgrid.app and app.fixgrid.app.

What the extension does

Quick Capture turns text you already have on screen into a FixGrid work order. You highlight text and choose Create FixGrid ticket. Your browser then opens your own FixGrid New Ticket form with that text filled in.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, or store user data on FixGrid servers, and it does not send anything to the developer or to any third party.

• Selected text stays in your browser. It is placed into a URL that navigates your browser to your FixGrid instance, only when you click.
• The only persisted value is the FixGrid address you set (for example app.fixgrid.app), stored locally via chrome.storage so you do not retype it.
• The extension holds clipboard permission so its Paste from clipboard button works. Your clipboard is read only when you click that button, only in the popup, and never in the background. The pasted text is handled exactly like selected text.
• The extension has no host permissions and does not read the page you are looking at.

If you then save a ticket

Once FixGrid itself is open and you are signed in, creating a ticket is a normal use of the FixGrid application. That ticket is covered by the platform Privacy Policy, the same as any ticket you type by hand.
